For the past several months, I have been doing creative coding focused on spirographs. This is a continuation of my SIM Waves research. Spirograph is a tool that enables the creation of intricate, mesmerizing patterns through the combination of simple geometric shapes and motion. It’s a way to explore symmetry, repetition, and flow, allowing artists to experiment with the relationships between lines, curves, and color. These patterns often evoke a sense of rhythm, precision, and harmony, which can be used to express both chaos and order. Check out some of the examples below.
