Motion Design – Kinetic Typography Project
Student: Rebekah Huerta
Class: VIST305 Graphic Design,
Project: Select a scene from a film, speech, or spoken word(profit or non-profit) and develop a kinetic moving type motion that helps to illustrate the dialogue.
Just recently, I was invited to a wedding where I ran into an old student, Rebekah Huerta. We talked and reminisced about an old Kinetic Project, going back to Spring 2014. In our conversation, I was reminded how talented she was and how her Kinetic Type had such meaning when given action. The world of moving typography can be as subtle as a slight ease, or it can leap off the page. The use of motion can be in direct connection with the word’s meaning or can help to transcend the word and tell a larger story.
